Born January 2, 1985 in NYC Absolut’ was raised on music. He grew up during the “Thriller”
era so 80’s pop is a strong influence on his music. The core influences for Absolut’s music style
are definitely his roots.
“I was raised in Jamaica for 7 years so reggae was all I listened to but
Hip-Hop had a strong hold on me from a young age.”-Absolut’ The Great
Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, De La Soul, EPMD, GhostFace Killer,
Bob Marley, Beres Hammond are also important influences.
Absolut’ has been Rapping for 11 years but he has been taking it seriously for 2 years. For the
Past few years he’s been co-producing his songs so he can actually get more of what he wants
from his music.
